For the love of art in Alcudia

From November 18 to 24 Alcudia will be the scene of the initiative "Idemtitats 2002" organised by the association Per Amor a l'Art with collaboration from the Ayuntamiento. The programme includes music, performances, installations, sculpture and poetry. From 18 to 24 the sculptures and installations distributed round the streets and squares of Alcúdia can be visited. At the Auditori d'Alcúdia a map with information about the situation of the works can be collected. During these days the exhibition "Art Correu - En Temps d'Idemtitats" can be visited at the Biblioteca Can Torró and on 18 from 4.30 to 10.30 p.m. there will be six hours continuous poetry with poetic readings and projections.

In relation to music, at the Auditori d'Alcúdia the following concerts will be held: November 19 at 9 pm. Música Camítica, organised by the Fundació Aca, November 20 at 9 p.m. Le Ciel Afonic and Joseph Sbert, organised by the Fundació Aca, November 21 at 7 p.m. Escola Municipal de Música d'Alcúdia, and 22nd at 9 p.m. Habaneras with Grup Sotavent and Banda Municipal de Música.

Other programmed activities are the graffitis carried out by different artists in the Avinguda Prínceps d'Espanya during the 22nd, 23rd and 24th and a walk and visit to the installations, sculptures and performances that will start facing the Auditori d'Alcúdia on 23rd at 11 a.m. Also on 23rd during the morning there will be a surprise event by Catie de Balmann in the Calle Major, at 11.30 a.m. an installation-performance by Ruben Barrose in the Placeta de las Verdures, at 1 p.m. an event by Fausto Grossi in the Alcúdia school, at 3 p.m. the event "La Partida de Terceti" in the Café de Ronda, at 6 p.m. an event by Catie de Balmann in the Calle Major, and at 7 p.m. events by Belin Castro, Iris Nava, Kamen Nedev, Dick Verdult and Rodolfo Franco in Can Torró.

Finally, on the 24th, at 12 noon, there will be a street event, coordinated by Xesca Palou, in La Porta des Moll.
