Man and energy

With the conference called "Home i energía" to be given by Francisco García Novo, professor of Ecology at the Seville University, next Friday November 8 at 7.30 a cycle dedicated to energy will start at the Fundación "la Caixa" in Palma.

Coordinated by Antoni Bennàssar Roig, professor of the Departament of Biology of the Balearic University, the cycle will last until April 4, 2003 with nine more conferences that will be by Ángel Garrote Ruiz, director of the Area of Energetic Resources of the Ente Vaco de la Energía (November 22); Pere Nadal Fiol, head of Energetic Planning of the Conselleria de Innovación y Energía of the Balearic Government (December 20); Esteban Chornet, professor of the Université de Sherbrooke in Quebec (January 10); Albert Mitjà Sarvisé, general director of the Institut Català d'Energia (January 24); Rafael Caro Manso, scientific consultant of the CIEMAT (February 7); Felicià Fuster Jaume, honorific president of ENDESA (February 21); Joan Perches Escandell, general director of Energy of the Balearic Government (March 7); Juan E. Iranzo Martín, general director of the Instituto de Estudios Económicos (March 21); and Isabel del Olmo, director of institutional relations of the IDAE (April 4).

The closing date for inscription is November 7, price 6 euros.
