Photographs of the new American Ghetto

The Sa Nostra Cultural Centre in Palma is holding until January 18, 2003 the exhibition of photographs by Camilo José Vergara (Santiago de Chile, 1944) called "El nuevo gueto americano".

The exhibition, produced by the Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA), gathers together a selection of the over 9,000 photographs taken by the photographer in the last 20 years in places such as Harlem, South Bronx and Central Brooklyn in New York, South Central in Los Angeles and other poor districts of the United States.
