New web of the group Espiral d'Embulls from Manacor

Espiral d'Embulls, a young group from Manacor, integrating music, dancing and poetry, has just started their web: www.mallorcaweb.net/espiral. Espiral d'Embulls started in 1998 with the aim to perform a modest recital of Catalan poetry that would break the serious tone of conventional recitals. "Poets, poets of sea water" was their first production. Over the years, the group has grown and become a cultural association centring on the defence of the linguistic and symbolic heritage of the Balearics and the areas where Catalan is spoken, having organised and participated in different cultural and protest events, such as the tribute to Guillem d'Efak and the Marxa pel tren de Llevant, amongst others.

In the summer of 2000 they recorded their CD "No tot és desar somnis", a musical work that gathers together the poetic songs of "Poets, poets of sea water" and new compositions. Their main musical influence is traditional music, the songs by composer-singers, and "new sound tendencies that reflect contemporary tangles and sensations."
