Al Ayre Español in Artà

Al Ayre Español, the orchestra with the most international projection in Spanish Baroque repertoire, directed by Eduardo López Banzo, author of the recordings of the majority of work by Antoni Lliteras, are on Mallorca at the moment, rehearsing at the Teatre d'Artà. The objective is to record live the concert version of the Barroque zarzuela "El estrago en la fineza o Júpiter y Semele" one of the best works by the great composer from Artà. The recovered work, with libretto by José de Cañizares, premiered in 1718 at the Teatro de la Cruz in Madrid.

The concert, which lasts two hours, will take place on Saturday, February 22 as from 9.30 p.m. The tickets will be on sale as from Wednesday, February 19 at the Teatre d'Artà. The price is 10 euros, or 6 euros for under 21s and students of the UIB.
