Costa Nord, the cultural centre
in Valldemossa promoted by the actor
Michael
Douglas, will continue holding on Fridays in February free concerts
at 11.30 p.m. The programme will begin on February 7 with pop music form
the 60's, 70's and 80's by Nou Art and Acustic and will continue on the
14th with Argentinean tango by Taconeando. On the 21st there will be reggae
by Glasford and the Providence and finally, on the 28th, the Caribean group
will give a salsa concert.
More over, on Friday 14th and and Friday 28th, before the concerts,
at 8.30 p.m., there will be film projections included in the
Altres
Veus cycle, organised by the
SAC
of the UIB and Costa Nord. On the 14th the film "
Ed
Wood" (1994) by Tim Burton and on the 28th "
Lone
Star" (1996) by John Sayles.
For those who do not know Valldemossa and due to the cycle of concerts
decide to go to this town, we recommend visiting the monumental group of
the
Cartoixa
de Valldemossa , the old property of
Miramar
–where Ramon Llull founded the Monastery of Miramar in 1276 and that the
Archduke Ludwig Salvatore of Austria bought in 1872– and the property of
Son Marroig, in the municipality of Deià, that host the
Museu
Arxiduc Lluís Salvador.
