Exhibition and contest of autochthonous animals in Sant Jordi

On February 14, 15 and 16, in the Sports centre of Sant Jordi, the "Mostra de Races Autòctones" will be held, organised by the Associació d'Aviram de les Illes Balears, Associació Club Prat de Catí, Club Català de Coloms Autòctons and Associació de Criadors d'Aus "el Francoli". Within the show, the second autochthonous birds contest and the sixth pigeon contest will take place, and also the new international bird contest.

Sant Jordi is a rural village of the Pla de Palma, very near the airport, where one of the most important concentrations of Mallorcan windmills can be found, as you can see on this photographic report, carried out by MallorcaWeb in May 2002, coinciding with the celebration of the II Fira del Caragol in Sant Jordi.
