Pottery Fair in Marratxí

Marratxí will celebrate from February 28 to March 9 the traditional "Fira del Fang", that reaches this year the nineteenth edition. The fair includes a wide sample of pots, jugs, plates and all kinds of objects made from clay. These have been made for many years by the small family workshops of the municipality, in the area of Sa Cabaneta and above all, in Pòrtol.

The production of pots, helped by the abundance of red clay in the surroundings, has converted "the clay industry" into the most characteristic element of Marratxí and therefore the prestige of the traditional Pottery Fair.

The fair will be held at the Restaurant Ses Tres Germanes, situated on the road to Inca, Km. 8,5. Visiting times: from Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 20.30 p.m.
