Next Saturday, March 8, at twelve noon, in the Plaça Espanya,
a protest demonstration will be held to commemorate the
International
Women's Day. To observe this day, the
Institut
Balear de la Dona has organised several activities that began on Tuesday
with the opening of the exhibition "Dones fotografien dones" (Women photograph
women) in the patio of the Sa Nostra Cultural Center in Palma and it will
continue until March 29 with presentations, lecturers, cinema, round tables,
and the meetings "Feminisme, globalització i multiculturalitat"
that will be held on March 14 in the Sa Nostra cultural Centre in Palma.

More over, the
Calvià Town Council
has also organised a programme that includes exhibitions, theatre, cinema
and forums to celebrate the International Women's Day.
