New Art Gallery in Son Ferriol

Last Saturday April 12, the president of the Dean of the Palma Cathedral, Joan Bestard, opened with his blessing a new art gallery: "La hacienda de Zapata". This cultural centre that opens its doors with 6 exhibitions, has 14 halls and some 400 square metres of garden to situate up to nine sculptors.

Situated in the old road to Sineu kilometre 2.4 (Son Ferriol), "La hacienda de Zapata", that has direct contact with 5 galleries in New York's SoHo, intends, according to Domingo Zapata, son of the manager of the centre and one of the artists who is exhibiting his work, to "promote Mallorcan artists internationally on our island."

"La hacienda de Zapata" has a café, a restaurant and even a suite for the visiting artists.
