The exhibition area of Ses Voltes, in the Parc de la Mar in Palma,
is housing until June 30 the exhibition, "Robert Graves, una vida de poeta".
The show, that was already seen in Madrid last year at the Círculo
de Bellas Artes, has original manuscripts, first editions of poems and
photographs of the family and professional surroundings of
Robert
Graves (1895-1985), well known English writer (previous Poet Laureate)
who from 1929 and until his death lived with his family in the Mallorcan
village,
Deià.
Together with the exhibition poetic readings have been organised that
will take place in Ses Voltes on May 22 at 8 p.m., in the Town
Hall of Deià on June 7 at the same time, and in the Amphitheatre
Graves in Deià, where on June 21 also at the same time, the summer
solstice will be celebrated.
The entrance is free and the visiting times are from Tuesday to Saturday
from 10 a.m. to 5.45 p.m., Sundays and holidays from 10 a.m. to 1.45 p.m.,
Mondays closed.
