Neal Casal will perform in the "Waiting for Waits"

After the success of the previous editions, on July 4, 10, 11, 17 and 18, 2003, the third cycle of acoustic concerts "Waiting for Waits" will be held, organised by Tomeu Gomila with view to paying tribute to the Californian artist, Tom Waits, musician and filmmaker with a strong personality who has always been identified with the darkest and underprivileged areas of society.

This third edition of the "Waiting for Waits" will have the important presence of Neal Casal who will perform, accompanied by Lisa Germano, on July 17 in the head office of ARCA in Palma and on July 18 in the Cloister of Sant Francesc in Muro. Prior to this the Mallorcan group, El Diablo en el Ojo will perform with a group of versions by Tom Waits. Because of this double concert, S'Altra Web has published an interesting interview with Neal Casal by Joan Andreu Juan Torrens.

The programme for this year is completed with performances by JC & Angelina Grimshaw on July 4 at the Sa Nostra Cultural Centre in Palma and Martha Wainwright and Peter Case on July 10 at the ARCA head office in Palma and on July 11 at Sa Congregació in Sa Pobla.

Tickets are between 12 and 14 euros, except the concert on July 4 at the Sa Nostra Cultural Centre which will be free. Information and bookings: waitingforwaits@yahoo.es
