New web dedicated to Mallorcan traditional dances

Maria Munar, a fan of Mallorcan traditional dances, has launched a web dedicated exclusively to these popular dances.

The new web, www.mallorcaweb.net/ballades, includes a diary of dances, links to folk groups, schools and other resources. According to the author, the objective is to fill the hole left by the magazine M'han Dit, no longer available.

Thanks to the perservation and dignification work carried out by the Mallorcan folk music bands and dance schools, nowadays the Mallorcan traditional music and dances are a lively and expressive form of popular culture that attracts many people.
