Patron Saint fiestas for Sant Joan in Deià

The patron saint fiestas in Deià have just begun. As usual, the programme of activities, organised by the Town Council with the collaboration of entities and firms in the municipality, features a complete choice of sports, cultural and religious proposals. During the weekend, and specially on Sunday 21, is when the most animated events will be held.

The traditional proclamation of the fiestas, this year by Joan Barceló, will take place on Friday 20 at 9.30 p.m. in the municipal amphitheatre, followed by a demonstration of folk dances by Aires Sollerics. On Saturday 21 the activities will begin with the popular fishing contest in Sa Cala, which has been held for over 15 years, and at night, as well as the awaited dance with music by the local band Pa Amb Oli Band and other groups, there will be an exhibition of handicraft by the association Gent Artesana de Deià.
