The
Santuari
de Lluc will hold the festivities for the Diada 2003 between September
6 and 14. This year the programme is presented with a text by the prior
of Lluc, Jaume Reynés, dedicated to Bishop Teodor Úbeda,
who
died
last May.
As for the activities, the programme includes as usual the grand dance
of the Diada, that will take place the evening of Saturday 13, and the
XXIV Pujada a Peu de la Part Forana (walk up from the villages), organised
by the
Associació d'Antics
Blavets, that will be held in the small hours of Sunday 14.
As well a whole series of cultural activities will be held that can
be consulted in the section
"Calendari
del mes" on the web of the
Santuari.
Some of the new items this year are the inauguration of the two Museum
halls, the presentation of the T-shirts by the designer
Xisco
Caimari, an old 'blauet', the inauguration of the sculptures by Remígia
Caubet and by her son and daughter, Isabel and Damià Ramis Caubet,
in the Botanical Garden, and also the presentation of the new area dedicated
to international flora.
