Coinciding with the celebration of the
seventh
"Nit de l'Art", last Thursday, September 18, the exhibition "Ciutats"
by Mario de Ayguavives (Zaragoza, 1968), sculptor and photographer connected
to the island of Eivissa since his youth, was opened in the Sala de Paper
in the Sa Nostra Cultural Centre in the calle Concepció in Palma.
The exhibition is a selection of photographs taken from 1999 until the
present day, that are digitally manipulated to present dehumanised urban
universes and to emphasize the essential elements that are part of them:
adverts, cars, windows... The images by Mario de Ayguavives question the
position of man in the present cities.
The exhibition, that can be visited until October 31, are part of
the "Col·lecció Fotògrafs a les Illes". The entrance
is free and visiting times are from Monday to Friday from 10.30 a.m. to
9 p.m. and Saturdays from 10.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.
