The patio of the
Sa
Nostra Cultural Centre in Palma is housing until February 14 the
exhibition "16 anys de la Nit de Foc" presenting objects and photos of
this street firework show. The show, which was first performed by
Iguana Teatre in
1988, is based on popular Mediterranean culture, mixed with fire,
demons, music, fireworks, drums, mechanical beasts and other devices
that manage to integrate the public into a vibrating Dionysian fiesta.
More over, in the Sala de Paper of the same Cultural Centre, the
exhibition "Love is in the air" can be visited until February 13. The
exhibition features video productions relating love, by Chema
Alvargonzález, Caterina Campino, Jeroen Kooijmans, Emilio
Lekuona, Alberto Peral, Esther Planas and Gino Rubert.
Finally, in the Sala Gran, the exhibition by the Mallorcan painter
Miquel Llabres can still be visted until February 7.
