Waiting for Waits has organised two concerts for the first
weekend in March.
On Saturday 6 at 9.30 p.m, in the headquarters of ARCA in Palma, there
will be a concert by two English singer-songwriters. The artists are
Robyn Hitchcock, who
performed in Sa Pobla in 1995 within the first edition of the "Festival
de Jazz" organised by Pep Crespí; and Neil Halsted,
the leader of the
Mojave 3 band that performed on
the Island, on November 2002, within the first anniversary of the
series "Nits Angleses al Lisboa". Tickets for the concert cost 15

More over, the day before, Friday 5 at 7.30 p.m., in the Sa Nostra
Cultural Centre in Palma, there will be an special concert dedicated to
Townes Van Zandt,
considered to be one of the most outstanding "trobadours" of American
rooted music of the second half of the 20th century. Townes Van Zandt
songs will be performed by four singers:
Michael
Weston King,
Mojave 3,
David Ogilvy and
Nacho Vegas.

The 12 Bar, will also
participate in the concert, so will Sylvie
Simmons, journalist of the
Mojo,
music magazine, who will present the concert. The entrance is free.
