March pro the train

On Sunday March 28, the sixth edition of the "Marxa pel Tren de Llevant", will take place. This is the protest festivity organised by the Plataform in defence of the train to demand the reactivation of the railway in the Llevant (East) district of Mallorca. The march consists of a popular walk that will start in the morning in Sant Llorenç and will end in Capdepera, passing via Son Carrió, Son Servera and Artà. As from 2.30 p.m. there will be fiesta finale in the sports centre in Capdepera with a popular "fideua" (pasta meal) activities for the children, a commercial fair and a large concert.

According to Miquel Piris, as a promotional event prior to the March, next Sunday, March 7 at 12 noon, the photographer Tarek Serraj will take a multitudinous photo at the Manacor station. The participants in the even will have to wear the protest T-shirt of the "6ª Marxa" that can be bought at the Town halls of Capdepera, Artà and Sant Llorenç and at the head office of the GOB in Palma.
