Over 5,000 webs in the directory of MallorcaWeb

In February, 332 new webs have been registered in the directory and search engine of MallorcaWeb. Amongst the novelties are the Palma cultural centres Es Fortí and S'Escorxador, the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears, the Escola Superior de Disseny de Palma, the firm Es Verger selling organic food, the Portal Energètic, the Portal del Contribuent and the Portal de Salut by the Balearic Government, the web Dia de les Illes Balears with information about the Day of the of the Balearic Islands, the restaurants Parlament, La Sal and Son Berga, the international biodiversity research group TAIB Projecte s'Albufera, the Cáritas Confederation of Catholic organizations, the five star hotels La Moraleja, Port Adriano and Palace de Muro, and the hotel chains Hoteles Catalonia, Playsol Hotels and Valentín Hotels.

From this link all the webs registered in February 2004 can be seen. At present the total accumulated in the data base of MallorcaWeb is 5,082 webs and 3,271 pieces of news.

As for the language presence, from the 5,082 registered webs, 1.631 have a Catalan version, 3.611 have Spanish, 1.915 have English, 1.326 German, 312 French and 77 Italian.

Regarding the geographical distribution, Palma is the municipality with the most related webs. Thus, from the 5,082 registered webs, 2,586 are related to the city. Next comes Calvià with 407 related webs, Manacor with 282, Pollença with 180, Inca with 172, Alcúdia 166, Andratx 151, Llucmajor 147, Santanyí 147, Sóller 136, Felanitx 127, Capdepera 116, Sant Llorenç 111, Marratxí 84 and Santa Margalida 79.
