Sa Mostra Internacional Folklòrica

Performances in Sóller, Maria, Algaida, Deià, Palma, Muro, Alcúdia, Sa Pobla y Fornalutx.

From July 19 to 25, , the Soller valley will host the XIV Mostra Internacional Folklòrica, best known as "sa Mostra". This year this prestigious folk festival, founded in 1980 by the group Aires Sollerics in 1980,will have the participation of the groups Dance Theatre Oiraty (Kalmyk State), Gruppo Folk Gli Scalzi di Cabras (Sardinia), African Tumbas (Kenya), Agrupación Folklórica Coros y Danzas Arrecife (Lanzarote - Canaries Islands), Sama Ballet (Sri Lanka) and Aires Sollerics (Sóller).

On Monday, July 19, at 10 p.m, in the Plaça Constitució (where most of the activities will take place) the Festival will open with a performances by the host group, Aires Sollerics, that commemorates this year its XXXV anniversary. The programme also includes performances in Maria de la Salut, Algaida and Deià, on Wednesday 21st, in Palma, in Thursday 22nd, in Muro, Alcúdia and Sa Pobla, on Friday 23; and in Fornalutx, on Saturday 24th.

The closing ceremony will take place on July 25 at 6.30 p.m. in the Plaça de sa Constitució, and will have the participation of all the groups involved in the Festival.
