Casa Museu Llorenç Villalonga: "Summer in Mallorca"
Exhibition included in the bicentenary of the birth of George Sand.
On September 23, at 8 p.m., the Casa Museu Llorenç Villalonga will initiate its autumn programme of activities with the opening of the exhibition "Un estiu a Mallorca" (Summer in Mallorca), that can be visited until March 31. The exhibition, included in the bicentenary of the birth of George Sand, compares the vision of the island described in "Winter in Mallorca" by Sand, with the vision that Llorenç Villalonga describes in his last published novel, "Un estiu a Mallorca" (Summer in Mallorca).
The Autumn programme of activities of the Casa Museu Llorenç Villalonga continues with a course about the same theme given by different specialists, such as Raül-David Martínez Gili (professor at the University of the Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris, and Damià Pons (professor at the Balearic University), amongst others.
Two conferences by Alfred Bosch and Sebastià Alzamora, a poetry reading dedicated to Joan Brossa and the presentation of Tomeu Vidal Pizà's book "Una vida d'era i no era: Mossèn Alcover", by Gabriel Janer Manila, complete the programme.
