Acampallengua 2006

Macro-camping to demand a complete normalisation of the Catalan language.

On May 20 and 21, in Esporles, a new edition of the Acampallengua will take place. This is a macro-camping organised by Joves de Mallorca per la Llengua to demand a complete normalisation of the Catalan language and to demonstrate the vitality of the juvenile association movement on Mallorca.

The activities programmed will start on the Saturday morning with a street parade and the welcome of the participants in the square of the Town Hall. As from 4 p.m., in different points of Porreres, there will be performances by young musicians and singer-song-writers, as well as a children party. At night there will be fire races and music by well known rock bands such as Lax'n'busto, Dr. Calypso, La Gossa Sorda, Anegats, Grollers de Sa Factoria and Amb una Mica de Sort. The events will end on Sunday at midday with "gloses".
