This evening, nearly all the churches on Mallorca will celebrate their midnight masses - full of tradition and popular cultural elements of the island -- that is also known as "la missa del Gall". The chant of the "Sibil·la", of ancient origen still preserved in Alguer (Sardinia) and Mallorca, is one of the most emotional and spectacular moments of this religious celebration. This year, the midnight mass at the Lluc Sanctuary , that as usual will have the fine voices of the Els Blauets de Lluc choir, will be followed live as from 10.30 p.m. on Channel 33 and the international channel of TVC. In the Cathedral, the mass will start at 11.15 p.m.
