The "XIV Opera Season" of the Teatre Principal in Palma is choosing the most popular works -- attractive to all audiences -- with the
objective of approaching the Mallorcan public to this art. The series includes four productions: three operas and one concert. The
first opera, "Don Giovanni" that opens the season, was presented for the first time at the Principal in 1995, with an extraordinary
success with the public and the critics. The other two operas that can be seen this 2000 season are "Tosca" by G. Puccini on
March 29 and 31 and April 2; and "I Puritani" by V. Bellini, on May 26, 28 and 31. Finally, the concert "Messa Di Requiem" by G.
Verdi will close this year's programme on June 10.
