The International Contemporary Art Fair (
ARCO), where every year important galleries from all over the world
meet, as well as collectors, commissioners and professionals of the highest level, constitutes one of the most important artistic
markets in Europe.
ARCO 2000 will be held from February 10 to 15 in the Juan Carlos I Fair Park in Madrid with the participation of 258 galleries from 28
countries, and an important artistic representation that includes from great masters of the historic avant-garde to the youngest artists
of the international panorama, who will have interesting exhibition areas dedicated to their work that will offer a tour of the emerging
art produced in different parts of the world. Amongst the participants there is an important representation of Mallorca:

XAVIER FIOL,
GIANNI GIACOBBI ARTE CONTEMPORANEO,
JOAN GUAITA ART and
SALA PELAIRES, from Palma, and MAIOR, from Pollença.
Together with the general programme of ARCO, the exhibition will be articulated around three special areas of interest, such as that
dedicated to Italy, the country that will attend as special guest, and two other programmes that will unite risky projects and
proposals: Project Rooms and Cutting Edge.
