Exams for 357 teachers

The Councillor for Education and Culture, Damià Pons, and the general director of Teaching Staff, Arnau Amer, presented on Friday the public offer for teaching staff, by competitive exam for the course 2000/2001 for the junior teachers, official language teachers, secondary education teachers and technical college teachers. This is the largest list in five years, with a total of 357 posts.

Meanwhile with the aim to promote the consolidation of the groups of teachers in the public centres in Ibiza and Formentera, the General Direction of Teaching Staff is studying the possibility of the posts being covered by a specific exam for those islands, with a commitment by the participating teachers to remain a minimum of two years in their first definite destination.
