Last Saturday, February 5, in its first General Assembly, the new "Associació de Veïns de Deià" (ASVED) was constituted, with 130 enrolled members. In the meeting, that took place in the "Social Premises of the older people", presided by the Managing Commission, they elected the President (Toni Colomar), Vice President (Lluís Partners), Secretary (Isabel Salleras) and Treasurer (Mateu Reynés) as well as delegated of Culture and Social welfare (Antònia Oliver), Environment (Paula Ramis de Ayreflor), Agriculture (Francesca Deyà), Sports and Leisure (Bartomeu Nadal), Communication and Co-operation (Tomàs Graves), Crafts (Joanna Kürne) and representatives of the different population centres from the municipality.
According to Tomàs Graves, delegate of Communication and Co-operation, during the assembly they also read the claim presented by the Managing Commission of the ASVED to the City council of Deià and of to Balearic Government regarding the watter and draining service.
