The Serafino Trio uses MP3 to reach more fans and sell more CDs
The Serafino Trio announces the Internet release of their first CD, "Debut". This ensemble, with members of international background but strong American roots, has quickly sparked worldwide interest through the Internet. Their recording of music by Arthur Foote and Dmitri Shostakovich has been realsed in association with the internet music phenomenon, mp3.com, and is available for purchase at www.mp3.com/serafinotrio. Members of the ensemble are Jennifer Peck, violin, David Runnion, 'cello, and Suzanne Bradbury, piano.

Music needs to be heard to be sold. One strategy for artists to consider is to seed the Internet with one or more songs. This enables music listeners to get a taste of an artist's style or a sample from a CD. If they like what they hear they will spread the music and a percentage will buy the CD.

The Serafino has a large following of cyberspace listeners in over 25 countries who have heard excerpts from its disc on MP3.com. From their base on Mallorca, in the middle of the Mediterranean, the Serafino Trio is inspiring attention not only for their playing, but also for their leadership in taking chamber music to a new level of appreciation -- through the limitless reach and awesome technology of the Internet.
