The
Teatre del Mar is putting on this week, from April 19 to 23, the play ABSENTA by Quimet Pla. This production is a homage to
all those authors and artists in the black and anarchistic sector of the Catalana modernism. The effervescence and emotion that boiled in
the mythical bar "
Quatre Gats" in Barcelona at the time of maximum splendour and rarity of those bohemians are the basis of
ABSENTA, a humorous play, full of characters taken from the vaudeville cabaret and cafe-theatre wardrobe.
