The municipality of Artà, situated in the extreme North-East of the Island, is one of the best preserved towns of
Mallorca. The fact that is has not received directly the tourist impact has kept ancient traditions intact, such as the fiestas for Sant
Antoni with the demons and bonfires, the artisan products such as the embroidery, "palm work", typical gastronomy such as the
meat pies, 'robiols' and sobrassada, ... all contributing to the preservation of the hospitable and vital characteristics of the
Mediterranean people.
In the
guide of Artà, develloped by Miquel Pastor, full information and photographs can be found, covering every aspect that makes it
a compulsory visit: scenery, culture, heritage, nature, urban routes...
