Mallorcan mayors visit the European Parliament
Four Mallorcan mayors from PSM-EN held a two day visit to the European Parliament on May 3 and 4 to make political and institutional contacts, both with representatives of other nationalist parties of the Spanish State, and with different European politicians.

The four mayors who participated in this visit are Mateu Morro, general secretary of PSM-EN and mayor of Santa Maria del Camí; Francesc Aguiló, mayor of Campanet; Josep Gomila, mayor of Alaró; and Joan Arbona, mayor of Sóller.

On Wednesday, May 3, the Mallorcan representatives, together with 31 other Catalan-speaking mayors, delivered a manifest to the European Parliament requesting the recognition of Catalan at the same level of other official languages of the European Union.

Throughout Thursday 4, the four mayors held different contacts especially the meeting with the Euro MP from the Coalición Canaria, Isidoro Sánchez; the meeting with representatives of the "Democratic Party of European Peoples" and finally the meeting with Monica Frassoni, EMP for the Green Party of Belgium, who next month will participate in Mallorca in the formation days by PSM-EN.
