Juan Perro will present his latest record, Mr. Hambre, next June 28 at 10 p.m. in a concert that will take place at the
Teatre
Principal in Palma, sponsored by the
Consell de Mallorca. The tickets cost 2.500, 2.000 o 1.200 pesetas and can be acquired in
advance at the Teatre Principal box office or in the record shop Xocolat.
Under the name of Juan Perro, the exmember of
Radio Futura, Santiago Auserón, can be found, who adopted this artistic name
when the group disbanded in Spring 1992.
Mr Hambre was record between October and December 1999, at Santiago's home in Madrid, "
La Tapia", and in the "Hudební
Studio Smecky" in Prague, presenting a minimalist sound that follows the traditional rock scheme: base guitar, guitar, drums
Juan Perro has collaborated or performed with many artists: Luz, La Fura dels Baus, Max, Los Sencillos, Kiko Veneno, Enrique
Sierra y los Ventiladores, Serrat, Compay Segundo, Carlos Cano, Raimundo Amador, Dagoll Dagom, etc. One of his latest
collaborations has been the participation in
Cáñamo 2000, a record on the culture of cáñamo (hemp), edited together with
Virgin and
for the magazine
Cañamo, dedicated to the culture of cannabis.
