The Mallorcan Delegation of the Official College of Architects of the Balearics (
COAB), together with the
Banca March and the
General Direction of Architecture and Housing of the local ministry of Public Works, Homes and Transport of the
Govern de les Illes
Balears, is organising a tribute exhibition for the architect and urban planner, Gabriel Alomar, to present the work and professional
track-record of one of the most significant figures in Mallorca in the field or architecture and urban planning during the 40s and 50s.
The exhibition will open on June 8 at 7 p.m. at the Assembly Room of the Banca March, and will remain open until July 21. At the
same time, three Round Tables will be carried out in which the most general aspects of Gabriel Alomar's life and work will be
analysed, plus his task as historian of the Kingdom of Mallorca and person responsible for Heritage questions, and valuable
contributions via his architecture and urban planning.
