The Musical Cultural Association of Ses Salines, the entity that
administers the Municipal Band and Music School of the town, has
organised the first open air Festival de "Jazz a la Fresca" for this
summer that will take place in Colònia de Sant Jordi and Ses Salines.
In this first edition the following performances will be held:
August 4 at 11 p.m., in the Plaça des Pou den Verdera in Colònia de Sant
Jordi, LA VELLA DIXIELAND.
August 18 at midnight, in the Plaça de ses Creus de Ses Salines, TONI
CUENCA TRIO.
September 1 at 11 p.m. at Ca Ses Monges in Ses Salines, S'ARRUAL JAZZ
MORT.
With this programme the young people behind the musical movement in Ses
Salines wish to bring jazz to our island, all too absent in the usual
programmes. In this first edition the main 'course' will be the
represented by La Vella Dixieland, one of the most prestigious bands in
the present Jazz scene, that returns to Mallorca after 10 years.
