School Sport: Programme "In Full Sail 2000"

The department of Sport for the Mallorcan Council is organising the summer programme "A Tota Vela 2000" that will take place at the sailing clubs of S'Arenal, Cala Gamba, Sant Antoni de la Platja, Portitxol, Port de Pollença, Palma, Can Picafort, Port d'Alcúdia and Serranova.

Optimist, galleon, canoeing, sailing, lasser, windsurf, raquer, cadet and cruiser are the specialities which will become familiar to the the 1,200 pupils.

The Sports department of the Mallorcan Council will also organise sports stays in the winter for students. Last Winter it subsidised under 18s with 10,000 pesetas to be able to practice skiing at six Pyrenee stations: Pal, Arinsal, Soldeu, Ordino, Boi-Taüll and Port Ainé.
