Between July 24 and 30, the Soller valley will be the scene of the
XX
International Folkdance Festival that will have the participation of:
Saharan folklore group "El Wali" (Sáhara), Dance Theatre "Badma Seseg"
(República Buriata), Santiago Folklore Group (Sabiñanigo, Huesca), "To'a
Reva" Comapgnie de Danse Polynésienne (Tahití), Folk Ensemble "Gelati" (Georgia), the Ivory Coast National Dance Company
(Ivory Coast) and "Aires Sollerics" (Mallorca).
On Monday 24, at 10 p.m., in the Soller High School, a welcoming party
will be given by the host group, Aires Sollerics; on Tuesday 25 at 9.30
p.m. in the Plaça Constitució the XX Festival will open with the
performances of all the participating groups.
The programme of the Festival also includes performances in Alcudia and
Fornalutx on July 26; in Palma on 27; in Deià and Muro on 28; and in Sa
Pobla on 29.
The closing ceremony will take place on July 30 at 6.30 p.m. in the
Plaça Constitució in Soller and will also have the participation of all
the groups involved in the Festival.
