The 39th edition of the prestigious
Pollença Festival
(web active as from Friday 4th) will open its doors next Saturday, August 5, at the Sant Domingo Cloister in
Pollença.
The Pollença Festival
was created in 1962 by the distinguished violinist,
Philip
Newman, sponsored by the
Pollença
Town Council. After his death, the present artistic
director, Professor Eugen Prokop, took over and for the past few
years it has been a full
member
of the
European
Association of Festivals.
The programme this year includes
13 quality concerts and, as usual, will have the participation of
prestigious international artists:
