"Corrida Nocturna" by Esteban Villalta at the Miró Foundation
Until 15 October, the public may visit, at the Cubic Space of the Pilar and Joan Miró Foundation of Mallorca, the exhibition called Corrida Nocturna, where works by Esteban Villalta Marzi, the Spanish artist who lives and works in Rome, are presented.

The artist is presenting bull fighters in an unreal urban scenery derived from the Japanese comics, Manga, from videogames and films such as Robocop. The unreal and violent setting presented in Blood Runner (1997) and in 'Este Toro enamorado de la luna' (1997) is framed in a pattern of points that the virtual images and war games simulated by computer suggest.

Villalta, a post-pop artist, is ironic about bull fighting and converts it into a night bull fight beyond the present time.
