The singer, Dounia Hédreville, will perform next Tuesday, August 29 at
the Sala Magna of the Palma
Auditorium. Born in Paris, with a Caribean
father and Spanish mother, Dounia started her musical career with her
father, a saxophonist who played jazz, zouk and Caribean folkmusic. In
Mallorca she studied singing for five years with the soprano, Catalina
Negre, and has not stopped studying and experimenting with different
styles of interpretation. She has participated as the singer in various
musical groups; and at present, as a soloist, combining religious and
African songs, vocal sounds.... She has a great vitality and a charming
voice, with an extraordinary curriculum that includes singing, musical
composing, theatre and teaching.
