Marga Fullana wins the bronze medal in Sydney
The cyclist from Sant Llorenç, Margalida Fullana, has won the bronze medal for mountain-bike at the Olympic on the circuit of Fairfield City over 35.7 km.

The Mallorcan, world champion for 1999 and 2000, was the favourite to win the trial but a fall caused by the Italian cyclist, Paola Pezzo, who finally won the olympic gold medal, stopped Fullana from reaching the first place. The second place and silver medal went to the Swiss girl, Barbara Blatter.

Fullana's olympic medal is the second that Balearic sport has contributed to the four medals obtained until now by the Spanish delegation, after Joan Llaneras obtained the gold medal for indoor cycling.
