The Auditori d'Alcúdia will hold on December 7, 8 and 9, the first Festival of shortfilms of the Balearics Ciutat d'Alcúdia. The
aim of the Festival is to help and promote young filmproducers, giving prizes to their work and offering the possibility of
widening their knowledge in the prestigious film school
ESCAC (Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya).
The Festival, organised by Fona Artists, was presented last Friday at the Department of Education and Culture of the Balearic
Government. The ceremony was attended by Pere Muñoz, general director for Culture; Toni Cresí, director of the Festival,
Tifanny Blackman, director of Ibatur; Miquel Ferrer, mayor of
Alcúdia; and Maria Antònia Vadell, councillor for Culture of the
Mallorcan Council. According to the presentation, Alex de la Iglesia, Simó Andreu and Agustí Villaronga, among others, will
form the jury of the contest.
