Five Mallorcans in the Paralympic Games in Sydney

Five Mallorcan sportspeople - four swimmers and an olympic shooter will represent the Balearics in the Paralympic Games to be held in Sydney between October 18 and 29 this year.

The swimmers Xavi Torres, Toni Martorell, Juan Diego Gil and Vanesa Capó, together with the shooter Ricardo Sevillano will compete to win a medal in the 11th edition of the Paralympic Games.

The world champion in 150 style and 4 x 50 freestyle, Xavi Torres, who has already won a total of 8 medals in the last two editions of the Games, is the best bet for the Mallorcan delegation.
