Matadepera: "Mallorca, sister island"

The Patronato de Cultura of the Matadepera Town Council in Catalonia, has organised a series of activites to present the Mallorcan culture called "Mallorca, illa germana" (sister island). The events started last October 3 with a conference "The cultural policy in Mallorca" by M. Antònia Vadell, the vice-president of the Mallorcan Council.

The writer Maria dela Pau Janer will participate in the different events programmed, together with others, and will give a conference "El panorama literario actual en Mallorca", and the grouop S'Estol des Picot will perform a repertory of popular Mallorcan songs.

The events will finish on Saturday October 21 with the performance by Maria del Mar Bonet who will present her latest show "Dòmino" in the Municipal Pavillion of Matadepera.
