Santa Eugènia will hold on November 11 the first "Trobada de Musics per
la Llengua" (musicians for the language) a great festival organised by
Associació Cultural Músics per la Llengua, supported by the Mallorcan
Council, the Santa Eugènia town council, Sa Nostra, Somràdio, Telenova
and the SGAE.
The festival with have performances by a great number of musicians and
different artists who have the use of the Catalan language in common for
their artistic expression and the objective to contribute to the
linguistic normalisation and dignifying of Catalan, promoting at the
same time the artists of the Islands. As well as the musical
performances there will be children's entertainment, castellers (human
towers), a grand barbecue and an exhibition of Mallorcan products.
Al-Mayurqa,
Ocults,
Fora des Sembrat, Tomeu Penya,
Biel Majoral, Xaloc Música,
Damià Timoner, Marisa Rojas, Suso
Reixach, Antònia Font, Sis Som and
Homo Erectus are some of the musician who will participate in the
concert.
The fiesta will start at 3 p.m. with free entry.
