The
Camerata Sa Nostra will give in two concerts the whole of the
Bach Brandemburg Concerts, at the Cultural Centre in the
calle Concepció in Palma on December 22 and 29 at 8 p.m. The concert on the 22nd will also have the performance by the
English soprano, Kym Amps, in the two cantatas, 202 and 51.
The Camerata Sa Nostra, directed by Barry Sargent, is made up of string instrumentalists from different countries, all important
soloists in their instrument, some of whom are also members of the Balearic Symphony Orchestra. It is the most important
chamber group on the Islands.
The English soprano, Kym Amps, resident in Madrid, has performed in the most prestigious halls in Europe, including the
Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the
Gewandhaus in Leipzig and the
Purcell
Room in London. What is more, since 1984 she
has been a member of The Scholars, a vocal group with an impressive career, that has given over 2000 concerts all over the
world, some of these on Mallorca.
