The Mallorcan group, Satellites, gave a concert last weekend at the Monarch in London, in Camden Town, the neuralgic centre
for English "rave". They shared the stage with
Polak, one of the most promising new English groups in the present British
scene. With a packed hall, Satellites were able to captivate the London public with their habitual intensity. They were made to
give encores by the London audience who also bought the Mallorcans' records and asked for their autographs.
This performance, promoted by the local producer, Isladencanta (Festival de Esporles, etc) will be followed by other
Mallorcan performances in London by groups such as El Diablo en el Ojo, Neo Tokyo, etc.
Meanwhile, Satellites will perform on Friday 15 in the square of Sa Pobla, together with Slide, as from 10.30 p.m. as part of
the celebrations for 700 years of the municipality.
