Machines as an artistic reference

The exhibition "Maquinas" can be visited from december 20 till February 4, 2001, at the "Caixa Foundation" in Plaza de Weyler, 3 in Palma.

The Industrial Revolution made machinery the symbol of social progress. This exhibition presents the artistic relationship between man and the machine during the first half of the XX century, via 73 works by artists such as Marcel Duchamp, Max Ernst and Andy Warhol.
