The Pelaires art gallery, carrer Pelaires, 5 in Palma, is presenting throughout December the exhibition, "Pintures" dedicated to
the recent work by Mateu Bauçà. The artist exhibits twenty large paintings in which the colour and balance are the main
characteristics. Bauçà's objective is to create a plastic free of objects and to suggest via colour the present intimate moment,
"the artist must transmit intuitions of how life should (and could) be".
Mateu Bauçà was born in Palma in 1950. He studied art at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Barcelona and since 1973 has
participated in numerous individual and collective exhibitions.
