The Crist de la Sang makes a pilgrimage to the Cathedral

On Saturday 16, the Sant Crist de la Sang made a pilgrimage to the Palma Cathedral. The procession left the Sang church at 9 p.m. towards the Cathedral, where the the prayers for the culmination of the Jubilee Year took place. At 11.30 the Sant Crist was accompanied back to the Sang.

From the web by the Bishopric of Mallorca, the vicario general, Andreu Genovart, invited the Mallorcan public to participate in the pilgrimage and prayers round the venerable figure of the Crucified Christ, known as the "Sang" (the blood), with a popular devotion enrooted in the Mallorcan public, remembering the social dimension of the Jubilee Year for attention to the underprivileged. In this connection, the Crist de la Sang is to be transferred on Sunday 17 at 9.30 a.m. to the Palma prison.
